Over 100 greens saved from new construction
The TurfFox (Master Greenkeeper Norbert Lischka) exceeded this magical number through his advice with a further 18 greens at GC Erding-Grünbach.
With additional and, above all, regular mechanical treatments as well as a reduction in the use of fertilizer, water and chemicals by 2/3, the foundation for a more even and firm putting surface was laid.
This led, among other things, to the previously high Poa annua population being significantly reduced through repeated reseeding.
With the same ball rolling speed, the cutting height could also be increased from approximately 3.5 to 4.5 mm.
Without the understanding and willingness of head greenkeeper Andy Fall and his team, this great success within 2 years would not have been possible.
First time since decades and in time for the 50th anniversary, the club was able to present to their members and guests throughout the entire season consistently first-class greens.
